Measurement

Today we measured various objects around the school in metres and centimetres.

Heart Maps

In Room 7, we have been practising different ways to generate ideas for writing.  Last week we made lists and labelled pictures.  Yesterday we created heart maps that we'll use throughout the year when we're stumped and can't think of something to write about.  The students included pictures of things they love, exciting adventures, and people they care about.

Classifying Animals!

This week we were scientist and classified sea animals into six groups: mammals, fish, birds, crustaceans, echinoderms, and molluscs.  Part of your child's homework this week is to discuss the characteristics and features of these different groups with a family member.

We looked at one animal from each classification group and determined where they live, what they eat, what they look like and how they reproduce.

For now I'm only posting work, but I'm looking forward to getting all the signed ICT agreements back so your can see your children working.

A Moment in Time
