Today we conducted an experiment about heat energy. We hypothesised, recorded, and drew pictures of what happened in four different situations with a M&Ms in our hands. The four situations we tested were:
- an M&M in an open hand for one minute while sitting still
- an M&M in a closed hand for one minute while sitting still
- an M&M in a closed hand for one minute while walking around
- an M&M in a closed hand for one minute while running as quickly as possible in place
We discovered that as we used more energy, our bodies created more heat and melted the M&Ms.
It was a very tasty experiment!

ReplyDeleteYes because some of ours only cracked and some of ours got slimy. We thought it might have been because some of us may have been using more energy.
